I am a native Bostonian who is passionate about serving the community in which I was raised. I received my Masters of Social Work degree from Simmons College School of Social Work. Prior to that, I graduated summa cum laude from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. In my senior year of college, I helped develop a Peer Mentoring Program geared towards students within the Department of Psychology. I received post-graduate training in the areas of Clinical Supervision, Couples Therapy, and Chronic Medical Illness. I am a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and have been a member of NASW since 2002. Since 1999, my experience has included work with a variety of populations, including Vinfen's crisis stabilization unit serving adults in acute mental health crises and managing one of Vinfen's day programs serving adults with developmental disabilities and mental retardation. One of my favorite experiences was providing counseling to students at Tufts University College Counseling Center as I thoroughly enjoy working with the student population. More recently, I have worked at a local outpatient counseling center, providing clinical supervision, as well as counseling adults, adolescents, and families. |
